I'm stealing my thread back!
http://marutan.net/legocamera/ Meh, it's been done. (by Lego themselves, at Walt Disney World):
http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/lego-family.jpg and closer: http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/lego-camera.jpg (Note lego man in the lens )
Andy.
OK, I know theirs didn't actually *work*, but it's still cool. |

Ah! But Peters' is real technology (working, looks like SLR) as distinct from Disney fake ( looks like videocam). Lego-man prison. (or is that prism!) |

He looks like he's banging on the lens, screaming "GET ME OUT! GET ME OUT!" That's how it works, don'tchaknow. When you press the button, you activate a whip which forces a little person inside the camera casing to paint a picture very, very fast (another Pterry reference). |

Nah, there are no whips involved - the little man is more likely to stick his head out, saying "You're out of red!"

Ah! But Peters' is real technology (working, looks like SLR) The inside is a Benq DC E300, which is a fairly poor point and shoot, 3Mpix but nice and thin
As for the outside, I want to go for the rangefinder look, like an old Leica or Zorki. |
