Dear Microsoft,

Why do popups interupt fullscreen games?

I play games like World of Warcraft, now and I notice it interupts my game.

Also, I play Frets on Fire (Guitar Hero Clone) and the popups stop that while I'm playing, unhappy
Surely that's just the sign of a badly configured installation. Or something nasty that's running. I've never had popups in my games under windows... Windows' messages all appear behind the game thus not interrupting.
Popups interrupt games for me as well. Just not in World of Warcraft, because I don't play that tongue
It's user-customisable (and known as "stealing focus"). There are many ways to toggle it but the easiest is probably to download Microsoft's excellent TweakUI PowerToy.

Err, yes it is, and it has been for a long time as far as I'm aware.

Meh. The only problem I had with it playing it most of yesterday afternoon/evening was server related, not client related. It must just not like you.

Dear Microsoft,

If I want to copy foo.html somewhere, why does the folder foo_files get copied also? I did not ask you to copy foo_files, so please do not do it in future.

[edit]

Fucking hell!

If you delete foo_files, it deletes foo.html! (and probably vice-versa, but there's too much froth at my mouth for me to test that without suffering a terminal rage overload)

It also asks you if you really really really want to rename either of the files if you try renaming them. Even if they're completely unrelated (i.e. they're not a web page saved from IE, which this 'feature' is clearly designed to 'make life easier' for).

*interrogates filer options to look for a way to turn it off*

"Show and manager the pair as a single file" is what it's set to at the moment. But it can't even get that right, since I can plainly see the (completely unrelated) folder! (OK, so I've got 'show hidden files and folders' turned on, but still, FUCK OFF).

Sounds like you've got it set to "Show and mung" instead.
