I say write about Lexx.
I could even do an epic GITS vs. GITS vs. GITS vs. GITS [1]. But that would be taking things too far :P
I shall write BOTH.

Go to the toilet and have 200 ideas for the GITS article. Come back, and can't remember them all. Wah!

Audio comparison

Unless I'm mistaken, my copy of the manga didn't come with an audio track. However it does contain numerous audio hints, of the "Vhip", "Spak", "Whudd", "Splk", "Pop", "Brmbbrmbbrmb", "Kboomf" variety. I'm not entirely sure who did the translation from the original Japanese, but if you take the time to read the audio hints then you'll find that they do infact match the sounds you'd expect to hear in the situation depicted. The English voice talent is excellent, and the characters sound exactly as you'd imagine them to sound if they were real.
OH HOW I JEST

Not that anyone cares, but the first draft is nearing completion. Looks like the finished article will be twice as long as the Ghibli one. And it was all written this afternoon, so once you get halfway through don't expect any of it to make any sense. I've even had to resort to inventing new, highly amusing, words.

Irritatingly, I thought I'd set up the DNS to www2.noisetosignal.org should point to 1.0, but it doesn't seem to be working :(

I'll go and check that I haven't been an idiot :P

DNS for www2. hasn't propagated here, so don't ask me :P

However I'm guessing that unless 1.0 know to serve for both www and www2, you'll just end up with the 1.0 website appearing when you go to www2.

That's exactly what I want - I need www2 working for the test site, before the real site transfers.

1.0 knows. It's just a DNS issue from what I can see.

You did point it to 194.93.128.70, right? :)

I've just for the first time in, like, ever, looked beyond the articles on NTS that have been mentioned here, and jumped to the home page and started exploring.

I didn't explore very far, because I found this and this and I therefore thought I'd stop to say :D

(For those who don't know, the zombie is my absolute favourite movie monster in the whole world ever. Particularly the Romero-esque ones, since they give us an apocalyptic story - that being my favourite area in science fiction.)

:E

I have to say, I'm proud of NTS. Not because of any of my contributions - but simply because there's some good writers working for the site.

Right - off to sort out NTS's new home...

Anyone recommend any good graphics cards with a cooling system that (a) works and (b) doesn't deafen the user?

I don't know about deafening the user - but that sounds like a decidedly unhealthy fan.

Yes.

I took the card out and had a look at it, but aside from minor dust deposits it's fine. Still doesn't explain why it keeps stalling :|
