I recently got some from Vistaprint, as I had been given a holder as a gift & didn't have anything to put in it.
I got 250, notionally for free but actually three pounds something for 'processing and postage'.

They bug you all the way through the process to upgrade in various ways, but stand firm unless you need many more. 250 is more than enough for me, and if you buy from them they'll geve you money off your next order. Also you can get things like glossy finish, foil embossing on some cards (very tempting!), or to upload your own design.
Since I ordered I'm on their mailing list and they've sent me several emails a week trying to sell me more shit, but I think they'll respect my request to stop when I get round to it - or it'll be pretty easy to killfile them, anyway. (I think I left an option to send me offers 'on' when registering).
They run a referrer system which will get you 25% off your first order (disclaimer: It would also give me a discount if I bought something else from them) It involves a link which I can post here or email later, if you want it. |

I've got some 'free' vistaprint ones too, the quality is pretty good but what you didn't mention is that on the back is written 'Get your free buisness cards at Vistaprint', so you might just end up saying "I'm a cheapskate" to all you customers
It's about 7 quid from vistaprint for 250 with a blank back. |

I guess that shows how little I care. Since I don't really have customers, it doesn't matter to me, but that is a good point. Incidentally, if you buy more the price per card comes down quite quickly. And there are hundreds of designs you can choose from. (Although I know you'll want to upload your own design, Moss.)
My card has a tree on it - it was the default image, but I liked it best. Deciding what to put on it was quite difficult. In the end I didn't put a job title or description; what would I put? Genetic engineer, freelance programmer, trained assassin? |

Anyone know a good place to get these done? I found CardsMadeEasy - http://www.cardsmadeeasy.com/ - to be good. Someone recommended VistaPrint but then I saw this page:
http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/vp/ns/customer_care/patents_trademarks.aspx
"Boooo!" I thought to myself. "How predatory might these people be?" Business patents all over the place - that's certainly something I can't encourage, even though I wouldn't exactly be paying down in a single order the CEO's BMW 7-Series, or whatever the cool kids are driving these days. |

Heh, funny. I bought something from Amazon and got a Vistaprint voucher for the same offer - www.vistaprint.co.uk/amazon85
Also, I got an offer for a customised rubber stamp! Tempting to get one with my name/email/phone number, or maybe with PAID or VOID or something. www.vistaprint.co.uk/amazon86
I do find business cards to be useful and I do use them to promote myself, they've come in handy. And as a business, I can claim 'em against tax as a business expense. Oh crap, that reminds me. I need to do some tax returns... |

I personally would thoroughly recommend Moo Cards.
You can have as many different designs as you like, for no extra charge, and it's super easy to create cards from images in a Flickr account. When I've used them, they've also delivered the end product a lot quicker than they say they will. |

I had the same thought when I read this earlier, but I wouldn't worry about the potentially spammy link, since the poster b0rked it themsevles (one dot too many). |
