Apparently he's a time traveller.
In the forum index (section 'General'), the list of star commands and nostalgia thread both have a label attached saying "Started by filecore at 01:00 1/1/1970".
So, finally got that flux capacitor working? Or feeling a bit too nostalgic? |

Actually, looking at my profile and looking at the date of the first post in thread id 1, it seems I signed up here just ten days after the site went live. I really am one of the oldies! |

Actually, looking at my profile and looking at the date of the first post in thread id 1, it seems I signed up here just ten days after the site went live. I really am one of the oldies! The site's been going longer than that. I think that's possibly just when the forum was upgraded/rewritten.
I could be making that up, though.. |

Actually, that's probably true. At least, I do recall that Acorn Arcade was already around at the time, and possibly TIB too. I don't remember which one I signed up to; probably AA, and then the forums got merged into TIB in any event. Gosh, it was all such a long time ago... |
