StrongEd or Edit?

(And for completeness sake, add that Edit-replacement you get with RISC OS 5. And Zap, although no-one will vote for that :P)

Yes, I think there's meant to be some kind of Edit-substitute in RISC OS 5...

And I'm the third. The disc track editor was tempting, but I thought it best to go with StrongEd :)

You like the new copy and paste then? I can't stand it in text editors. StrongEd has both versions available at once, which is nice.

I prefer it as it is easier to cut and paste between Edit and another application. Also, it is the behavior I am used to now.

I also like the Select Draw and Paint more then the old ones as they have lots of little improvments. I especially like being able to flood fill with the mask colour in Paint and the kind of transparent nodes in draw.

Not mutually exclusive with the selecting method

That's the only reasons I can see for changing it, but I always thought the original way was best anyway, what advantages does the modern way have?

Sounds good, now I'll just go and read the Select website to find out more about this transparent node thing...whoops, it's not been updated, great marketing technique there.
