When previewing the first message of a new thread (e.g. previewing this message before this thread had been created) any quoted text doesn't get displayed as quoted, but instead the [ quote ] and [ /quote ] tags are displayed :(

If it's the first message in a new thread, what are you quoting?!

Something else, obviously.

How very useful.

If there are no other messages in the thread, you can't be quoting from that thread; therefore you can't be automatically quoting. Which means while manually adding quotes might be desirable, I'm not suprised it might muck up.

Tssk. I wanted to [ quote] from a news item or something.

And I often manually add, or at least edit about quoted stuff. Especially to remove the annoying multiple [ quote][ quote][ quote] etc.

Or I might want to quote from a different thread.

Anyway, whilst it may not be surprising, it is still annoying. :P

But does the actual post - i.e. not the preview - still have the [ quote ] stuff showing through, or does it work properly?

In which case, there's nothing stopping you ;)
