Why have I never started reading El Reg on a regular basis? It contains many good stories!

Purely for the Pratchett reference, of course.

"Intel sent sane journalists screaming for the exits this morning when it unveiled a nightmarish future vision where robots are more intelligent than humans, computers can change shape, electronic devices are recharged remotely, and humans are probably going to be ruled by an x86-based server farm."

They screened a series of clips from the Terminator and Matrix films and told the audience it was a conference, didn't they?

Oh, you've witnessed the entire career thus far of Kevin Warwick then?

No, but I don't think it's necessary qualification to make a silly, entirely non-serious throwaway remark.

Plus, if he's so clever, why hasn't he won Robot Wars yet?

His body isn't yet made of enough metal for him to be able to enter himself.

Er, you seem defensive - you do realise I was making one too?

The man seems to make a living from the worse sort of cod-science dreamt up purely to draw the most publicity. And yet every lazy hack of a journo always beats a path to his door for "balance" in any future tech story remotely related to robotics, in the same way in the US they went to Jack Thompson for gaming "balance". Until the Florida bar started disbarment proceedings on account of Jack being a crazy motherfucker.

Can someone do the professorial equivalent of disbarment on Kevin Warwick's ass, so I don't have to listen to him ever again?
