I think it would be better to remove the "reply" links on posts if you are not logged in. I can type a full message and click "post message" and then be told "no author set". There's no option to log in and post at the same time - you have to copy the message into the clipboard, log in, then find the post you want to reply to again, then hit reply, then paste.

Removing the reply links when you're not logged in would speed things up as I would realise I need to log in first.

You obviously haven't had the experience of getting logged out automatically.
