I recently bought Syndicate+ (from the Acornarcade shop, no less) and, having happily completed the game, went on to try to American Revolution bit. The only problem is, certain of the missions cause the computer to freeze once the target has been assassinated... making it very difficult to finish the game, or even to progress and do other levels. I wondered if anyone else had encountered this problem (it's the country to the right of the one in the top left, I can't remember its name) and if so, if there was a solution?

I've not noticed that happening, but then again the American Revolt stuff is so tricky that I don't tend to play them much smile

Have you tried a clean reboot (hold SHIFT down) and see if it works better that way?

I have noticed that there's an increased tendency to crash if you use the airstrikes option...

Also I have figured out a few tricks that work with both games, but are particularly useful for American Revolt:

- use a load of energy shields (minimum 4) with a single agent so that the enemy agents all stand by you, then self destruct, killing them all. If you carry a medikit, self destruct then immediately use your medikit, you kill everything else but still survive (albeit unable to self-destruct again). Keep a second agent in the game if you want to suicide the first, because the enemies will ignore the second one in preference of the one you're controlling (ie, with the shields).

- if you're quick, and use a persuadatron (and have persuaded a few civilians and police first), you use shields and wait til they gather round you as above, then hit the persuadatron - they're yours before they have time to fire. Plus, the way they wander round you makes a great human shield in case you're attacked again, and since they're all carrying miniguns you have a LOT of firepower. And you get lots of replacements for any agents you've lost, unless you get them all killed.
