(From the RISC OS 2000 report)
All of RCI's and their affiliate's Leisure titles were available to try, including the Chaos Engine, HOMM2, Doom+, Heretic, Ankh, Frak, and some PD software such as Marsquake - fun for 4 player amusement.
Does this mean there was a version of Frak for RISC OS? Or was it a remake? R-Comp website yeilds nothing on the subject...

Yes there was. ProAction released it so you need to see if APDL have incorporated it into their catalogue.

The GEK collection

A compilation of most of the commercial and Freeware games from GEK. It contains -

* Baloon Invaders
* No Windows
* Astro Smash
* Flying High
* Emotions
* EuroBlaster
* FRAK
* Joust
* Joop

Wonder if it was freeware or commercial?

Was it a direct port of the BBC version, or an improved version?

Ah, looks like it was commercial, and needs 8MB or RAM?!?!?

I'll just run it under BeebIt.

I think it was just a conversion. They also obtained a conversion of Ravenskull but never really advertised it.

Alas, it was not a direct port. It was 'improved'.
What this means was that it had none of the charm and amusement of the BBC version.

You're better off emulating it.
Cheers!
