Hi,

Does anyone know if 'Eterna' software went bust. I can't find reference to them anywhere on the web.

I've been looking to get hold of a game called 'Cartoon Line Part 1', it was awesome, probably played it in the RISC OS 2 era of the Archimedes.

Has anybody got this game still??? I've got loads of originals, classics... If anyone is interested in a trade of some sort. I don't know where else to turn, is this software lost forever?

Also, has anyone managed to get Ibix The Viking working on any emulator? The sound sample when Ibix dies was a favourite! I've tried arcImage on the original, but this makes dud images : (

Cheers

Pete

I have a copy of Cartoon Line... doubt I'll be trading though as this is an old post and you're probably long gone. It only works on Risc OS 2 IIRC.

I did lose the inlay for the game though. Come to think of it, I also lost my boxed copy of Starch somewhere. Bah!

For Ibix the Viking, what I've heard is that you'll need a proper copy of the game on disc (NOT a disk image), so you'll have to use Archie (which does not work on XP) or VirtualA5000 (which is now unavailable to buy, so search eBay for a copy).

Just got contact with one of the graphic designers of the game some weeks ago. He was very happy to hear that someone was playing this game. I asked him to release this game on my site for free and he wanted to get in contact with the developers as soon as possible. But no answers til now.
It seems that 'Eterna Software' doesn't exist anymore.
But I loved playing this game and I have the original discs with the cover at home.
If you want to see the scanned cover just visit my site http://acorn.revivalteam.de/?site=Pictures.

Cheers

Wocki

..and on the Ibix front, yes, used the original disk, patched it to RO4, and it works a treat.

The sound sample that has been stuck in my mind for 15+ years is from Adam and the Ants - Prince Charming.

Happy times.
