I was just wondering if it was worthwhile having the RISC OS Level 9 interpreter on AA?

It's currently available from:

ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/level9/interpreters/level9/

It seems to play the earlier Level 9 BBC Micro games provided you find the main file and direct that towards it. It won't do the graphics though at least not for the BBC Micro versions.
It should run the later games as well for the Beeb and other platforms (e.g. PC Knight Orc).

There's quite a few Level 9 titles currently on Ebay. Unfortunately they're Paypal only and I don't want to pay that way.

Yes I've seen that thanks. The graphics for Lancelot were excellent although probably not their best for the BBC even so.

Indeed. I always thought the Adrian Mole ones were a laugh.

I've never tried them. I tried the Archers one although that was quite different. It was a choose-your-own-adventure type of gamplay.
Great games smile

I'm hoping to have issue 6 of Retrogamer soon so I can read the first half of the excellent feature they did on L9.
