The August 2024 Rougol meeting is on Monday 19th August with Gerph talking 64 bits.
Gerf will be looking at the challenges and possible approaches to running RISC OS on recent ARM chips which no longer offer a 32 bit mode. As usual, the action kicks off at 6.30pm in the Duke of Sussex and online at 7.30pm on Zoom (usual link or contact Rougol for one).

This should be a very interesting meeting/discussion.
I'll be logging on to hopefully learn about all the challenges (and opportunities) of trying to move RISC OS to a 64-bit future.
Hopefully the people at RISC OS Open will also tune it too and make it truly an open source community driven discussion. |

I agree that it should be an exciting meeting/ discussion.
Let's hope all the stakeholders can participate.
I hope everyone sees the virtue of collaboration in a community of this size. |
